The Homeownership Within Reach coalition is built on partnerships with impact-driven organizations from across the United States. We’re thrilled to feature the great work of member organizations and to work together as we advance affordable homeownership initiatives in their states and yours.
In January, cdcb was awarded part of a $10 million contract by Fannie Mae through the Innovation Challenge, a two-year initiative aimed at developing collaborative, cross-sector approaches that advance sustainable communities to help address the nation’s affordable housing issues. With the funding, cdcb is increasing access to its comprehensive financial capability services in Brownsville, Texas, by partnering with two local employers to offer housing counseling, financial literacy education, and Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) tax preparation to employees at each work site.
cdcb will also enhance its services with Financial and Physical Health and Wealth (FPHW) metrics and data analysis methodology to develop a client-facing portal where individuals can independently monitor their FPHW metrics and action plans.
